To recover lost data from the phone, maybe you can have a try of android recovery tools, I think that is a good choice for data recovery. Anyway, if you really want the deleted data back, you should try every method, no matter they are free or paid. Those recovery tools can also have the possibility to recover deleted data I think.

Why not use too to recover lost files from Android if you don't have any backup , which is a tool for Android users to retrieve the deleted data, you can get them back in few steps. There are two popular and useful ways to make it.
One way is that you can recover the data from Android directly. The other way is that you can recover data from Android device

^^ it's the thumbnail data of the pictures you already have on your mobile. If you open it in any text/hex editor, you'll be able to see the start and end markers for various picture files. They point to the picture files on your mobile.

If you open the .thumbnails folder under DCIM, you'll find all the thumbnails present alongwith those .thumbdata files. If someone has deliberately deleted those thumbs, then Android re-generates them when you open the Gallery.

If someone has deleted the original files, then you need to try your luck with recovery software.

This tool is not very effective , at least , it doesn't work for Android data recovery ,
