Do you own any old smartphone? If you do, buy a car mobile holder and charger and get a new sim connection. You can use it as GPS and entertainment system. Well, that's what I did.

I have purchased Garmin Nuvi 55 LM cost Rs.9,000/- However I found my smart phone with Google Map serves the same purpose and is better in the sense its map is getting updated every month. It has more detailed information like road side restaurents etc. However google requires 3G or 4G connectivity. Garmin does not require any cell phone tower.

I bought car mobile holder and mobile charger also. And using Mobile phone navigation but problem it require net connection. It not worked without net.
Second thing it net consumption is very high when using GPS. I ahve samsung Grand 2 smart phone. Also it village where there is no network facility it not work .But GPS NAVIGATION SYSTEM do not require any network as it works via satellite.
My range within10000/-

Garmin Nuvi 55 LM is possible to charge with car mobile charger?Because it's chargable battery works not more than 1 hr.

My advise would be to just get a phone, install app like nokia here for offline navigation.

Even google supports offfline navigation. Just download google maps, and in settings download the map. Then gps navigation will also work without data connection,

Buy an phone, dowload maps and install it, enable gps. if you want internet also, just open hotspot on your personal phone and connect to internet

buy a ipod mini and download offline google maps of the area you need to travel.
the same ipod will also act like an entertainment system

believe me, this is the best option as quality of map of GOOGLE MAP is any day better than tom tom or map my india

google maps in offline mode has soooooooooo many shortcomings.

it'll left you stranded on road unexpectedly.
